The Variable ND Initial is a variable ND filter that allows you to adjust the amount of light reduction by rotating the front frame. It covers densities equivalent to ND3 to ND450* in one filter. This filter is essential for preventing overexposure in SLR video shooting, and can also be used for slow shutter still photography. *When used with a focal length of 70mm or longer, it can be used up to ND450 equivalent. When the density is set close to Max, X-shaped unevenness may appear in the image. This phenomenon is more likely to occur with shorter focal lengths of lenses used.
