PLATZ Horizon Model 1/72 Mercury-Redstone Plastic Model Kit NM2004: America's First Manned Space Rocket
This 1/72 scale replica of America's first manned spacecraft, the Mercury spacecraft, and the Redstone rocket that launched it. This kit includes the rocket body, the capsule attached to the tip, and the emergency escape rocket mounted on top of it. You can assemble three capsules: the Booster Development (BD) used for pre-crew test flights, the MR-3 (MR-3 "Freedom 7") that performed the first manned flight, and the MR-4 (MR-4 "Liberty Bell 7"), the final Redstone rocket-powered vehicle. Each model features decals for each design. A circular stand and photo-etched parts are also included for added detail. The finished height is approximately 350mm. The rocket body is approximately 25mm in diameter. This kit includes 48 parts.
