Cornelius / Keigo Oyamada
Born January 27, 1969, in Tokyo.
Debuted as a member of Flipper's Guitar in 1989.
After the band disbanded in 1991, he helped found and manage the Trattoria label.
In 1993, he began performing under the name "Cornelius."
In 1997, after the release of "FANTASMA," he signed with Matador Records (USA).
Their two albums, "FANTASMA" and "POINT" (2001), were released in 21 countries around the world.
Since then, they have been actively performing overseas, including touring.
Recent activities include collaborations and remixes with numerous artists both in Japan and abroad, including BECK, STING, BLUR, SKETCH SHOW, Ryuichi Sakamoto, ARTO LINDSAY, MERZBOW, K.D LANG, and TAHITI80.
Their diverse activities include providing music for the exhibition "Shhh..." held at the V&A (Victoria & Albert Museum, London) in 2004, and exhibiting video works at the JAM exhibition held at the Barbican Art Gallery (London).
