Attached to an acoustic drum hi-hat stand, the motion sensor unit placed under the cymbal senses the vertical movement of the cymbal when the pedal is depressed. The lightweight, thin frame not only reproduces the natural sway of the hi-hat when you hit it, but also allows for smoother open/close movements.
