A dialogue of inner souls that can only be done by both players who are particular about their roots in a place far away!

Every time I listen to this album, I'm reminded of Sam Gendell's words, “You can treat the reverb like an instrument that changes with the music.” He tries to erase the signs emanating from his body, leaving only the sound of the saxophone. What is there is not a city called LA, but a sound closely linked to individual spaces that have been nurtured locally. That's why it also resonates with Shin Sasakubo's guitar. What he discovered in Chichibu connected places in North America where there seemed to be no point of contact at first glance, and came to fruition into an organic and beautiful album.
