I use the filters for a pasta strainer on my rain barrel. They fit perfectly and filter all kinds of dirt out of the water. I can't say whether or how they fit in a sink, as I don't use them for their intended purpose.

The filter stays on high, and between the sink and the filter the little pieces enter, it's not worth it.
