[Synopsis] [Story] Aichi Sendo is a slightly timid third-year middle school student who doesn't stand out in his class. He always lives a negative life, but there is one thing that gives him strength: a card he received as a child. That card inspired him to start playing cardfights, and his daily life began to change dramatically.

The name of the card game is "Vanguard." Fascinated by the fun of Vanguard, Aichi meets many friends and rivals through cardfights.

Aichi has one goal in mind: to once again battle a fighter named Kai Toshiki.

To Aichi, Kai is the Vanguard who saved him and introduced him to card games.

To hone his Vanguard skills, Aichi continues to run at full speed today. He dreams of the day when he can face Kai, the man he admires, and be recognized!
