Our unique soap, blended with hydrating wild honey, nutrient-rich black seed, and apricot oil, gently cleanses and exfoliates while softening and hydrating skin. Rich in essential vitamins and fatty acids, shea butter is an excellent moisturizer that minimizes minor skin imperfections.
Heritage
The history of black seed oil (Nigella Sativa) dates back over 3,000 years to the Assyrians and ancient Egyptians. Black seed oil, discovered in King Tutankhamen's tomb, was reportedly used by Queen Nefertiti to maintain her beautiful complexion. Black seed's powerful properties earned it the Arabic name "Havatul Baraka," meaning "seed of blessing." Honey has traditionally been used to soothe and calm skin.
Small Beginnings
Nubian Heritage began with the idea of two street vendors in New York. In 1992, fresh out of college and still unemployed, Rich and Nyema embarked on a mission to create premium natural products by combining fair trade organic ingredients with traditional African methods. Today, Nubian Heritage offers culturally authentic natural products inspired by ancient global healing philosophies. While Nubian Heritage products are no longer made in a bathtub, nothing else has changed. We still make our products in-house, continue to source fair trade ingredients, and continue to invest in local businesses.
