How to use the chain cutting tool correctly:
The correct way to hold the chain cutter is to hold it sideways with one hand (for example, your left hand), firmly grip the horizontal bar between your fingers, engage the chain between the positioning teeth of the chain cutter, tighten the screw at the bottom of the chain cutter, align the upper top lever with the chain linking pin, and slowly turn the top lever with your other hand. What state it should be in when it is separated depends on how you feel it.However, the general rule is to avoid knocking the pin out completely. On the surface, the pin looks like a cylinder, but it actually has a slight hyperbola. In other words, the two thick heads are thin in the middle, so once they are completely penetrated, they cannot be entered without violent means. At the same time, the pin is better to protrude a little inside the chain, 0.5 mm is enough, this will make it easier to hook the other head when connecting it again, which will facilitate the connection operation. It should be explained that nodes that are disconnected and connected are usually a little harder to turn and require some manual pulling.
