Pointec, a German watch manufacturer that names its brands after historical airships and fighter planes, has established the brand "BAUHAUS" in 2019, in addition to ZEPPELIN and IRON ANNIE. Now, a new, higher-end model, "Bauhaus Aviation," has been released from Bauhaus.
As its name suggests, Bauhaus Aviation watches are based on the Bauhaus principle of "Form follows function," resulting in a sophisticated design that embodies simple, functional beauty by eliminating excessive ornamentation. It is said that pursuing simplicity is truly difficult and demands a high level of design skill.
The "Bauhaus Aviation 2866-5AT" is an automatic watch with a day-date calendar at the 3 o'clock position. It features a light beige dial, almost white, with white indices and two-tone hour and minute hands. The simple design is accented with white, giving it a modern feel. The case back is transparent, allowing you to admire the movement and appreciate its artistic charm. The strap is made of FINE DEER (deer leather), often called the "cashmere of leather," and its deep dark brown color creates a captivating appearance.
