The high-performance Bluetooth audio SoC has evolved to work in conjunction with Sony's proprietary 'High-Quality Noise Cancelling Processor QN1,' enabling advanced algorithms. It senses music signals, noise signals, and acoustic characteristics between the driver and the ear over 700 times per second, allowing real-time noise canceling adjustments.
Compressed audio sources such as MP3s, CDs, and streaming are analyzed in real-time using AI (artificial intelligence) technology trained on vast amounts of music data. The system optimally upscales the sound to high-resolution quality according to the genre, instruments, and scene, reproducing the original frequency characteristics more accurately despite compression, delivering immersive high-quality sound.
A long-lasting battery provides ample usage on a single charge. Up to 30 hours of music playback with noise canceling enabled, and up to 38 hours with noise canceling disabled.
Supports quick charging, allowing 5 hours of playback from just 10 minutes of charging, which is very convenient for sudden outings.
Adopts soft urethane foam with low resilience. The fit around the head has improved compared to previous models, with a wider contact area that disperses pressure on the head, providing a softer and more comfortable fit for extended listening sessions.
The housing features a touch sensor control panel that allows operation of music playback, track skipping, play/pause, volume adjustment, and phone call handling. It also supports voice assistants like Siri and Google Assistant, enabling various controls without taking out your smartphone.
While listening to music, you can simply speak to pause playback and switch to ambient sound mode. You can start conversations without removing the headphones.
When you temporarily remove the headphones, music automatically pauses, and the touch sensor becomes inactive to prevent accidental commands. When you put them back on, music resumes automatically. If removed for about 15 minutes, the headphones automatically turn off to save battery.
Touching the sensor panel temporarily reduces volume and amplifies surrounding sounds, making it easier to hear announcements or conversations, which is useful in situations where you need to be aware of your surroundings.

360 Reality Audio Live is a new online service that allows you to enjoy live streaming using Sony's 360 spatial audio technology.
