Please check the size in the photos. The strap has all the links, so after purchase, you can have it resized at a watch shop. Being automatic, it does not require a battery, but it will stop if not used regularly. If it hasn't been used for a while, it's advisable to wind it about 20 times before wearing it (the mechanism winds as you move your arm). I learned this when the topic of automatic watches came up at a watch shop. While the daily accuracy is unknown, it operates properly when wound. (Currently, the strap is fully linked, so it is too large for my wrist to test winding it by wearing it.) I find the classic appeal of Seiko 5 watches, which is not present in other affordable watches, quite attractive, and I own several. They great value and beauty, but I do find that the strap can feel a bit stiff when fastening it. It is not broken or likely to break, though. This watch is also brand and unused, but I have the same impression.
