The Dark Star is now available as a 1/72 scale plastic model kit! The "Dark Star" is the U.S. Navy's hypersonic manned experimental aircraft that appears in the film "Top Gun Maverick." While it is a fictional aircraft, it boasts a highly realistic, functional, and elegant design. A distinctive feature is its dual-engine design: a turbojet and a scramjet. This model reproduces the articulated splitter that switches between two engine types, landing and takeoff configurations, and opening and closing of the canopy. Display it however you like.
