The Polish Uhlans were light cavalry armed with sabers and rifles.
They also served as the basis for lancers in various countries.
They began to organize as Uhlans around the 18th century and became renowned for their bravery.
During the 1939 campaign of World War II, they were an elite unit given priority for the latest weaponry.
In addition to mounted combat, they also engaged in infantry combat as appropriate.
Includes a full-scale vehicle and a booklet (in Polish) on the Polish campaign. It's packed with photos, so even those who can't read will enjoy it.
