Product Introduction
The Taigei-class submarines, succeeding the Soryu-class, entered service in March 2022 with the first vessel, the Taigei, followed by the second vessel, the Hakugei, in March of the following year.
While their appearance is similar to the Soryu-class, they feature higher-capacity and higher-output lithium-ion batteries, resulting in improved diving capabilities.
