This is a port of the 1997 arcade game. This gun-shooting game incorporates hidden hiding techniques while engaging in combat. The "Arcade Mode" faithfully recreates the arcade version, allowing players to wield two guns, something not possible in the arcade version. Two-player mode is also possible, featuring split-screen play, just like the arcade version. Full-screen two-player simultaneous play is also possible with two PlayStation 2s, a monitor, the game, and two IEEE 1394 cables (4-pin to 4-pin: S400 standard). An original addition to the home console version is the "Extra Games" sub-game mode, which incorporates target practice, quick-draw shooting, and clay pigeon shooting. The game has been improved to suit the home console taste without losing the best parts of the arcade version. Players can also coordinate their play, using strategies like a pincer attack, where one player sneaks behind the enemy, spreading out their targets and striking out a larger enemy force in one fell swoop, or a support attack, where one player advances to draw the enemy's attention while the player in the rear attacks. The game will initially be released as a bundle with the GunCon 2, a gun-shaped controller specifically designed for the PlayStation 2. The game itself is scheduled for release in November (estimated price: ¥6,800 (excluding tax)).
