Product Description

The Skyraider was developed as the U.S. Navy's last piston-engine carrier-based attack aircraft and continued to fly on the front lines for over 30 years. This is a plastic assembly kit of the A-1J, the final production model of the A-1J, which appeared in 1956 and was deployed to the U.S. Air Force in the Vietnam War, where hundreds played a vital role in rescue missions for downed pilots and ground attack missions. This kit faithfully recreates the Skyraider's distinctive rugged style, as well as the Air Force-spec features such as a cockpit equipped with an emergency escape mechanism and an additional antenna mounted on the rear fuselage. Includes a wide range of armament parts, including conventional bombs, rocket launchers, and minigun pods, as well as a pilot figure. Two types of decals are included.
