Filter characteristics The module is based on proven integrated circuits 2164 and 13700, which are known for their analog clarity and musicality. SURGES offers smooth operation in low-pass, band-pass, and high-pass modes. An additional advantage is the ability to switch the filter slope characteristic between 12 dB and 24 dB per octave – this allows the filter's response to be adapted to specific tonal needs.. The module handles both subtle modulations and sharp overdrive perfectly, giving the sound character and depth. Furthermore, loudness compensation was applied at high resonance values, ensuring a consistent signal without dynamic jumps.
