AIRDRIVE DESIGN is comprised of up to four technologies, the most iconic of which is the Air Drive Rotor. It delivers a thrilling, light-footed rotation. The monocoque body creates a solid sense of rigidity that's hard to imagine, resulting in stable rotation. Protected by its sturdy body, the Tough Digigear delivers virtually noiseless rotation, and features a special surface treatment to enhance gear hardness for ultimate reliability. Daiwa's proprietary waterproof and durable technology, MagShield, is installed in the pinion and line roller sections, while MagShield ball bearings on both ends of the drive gear provide advanced waterproofing (only in the pinion section on the SF model). The drag retains the ATD's characteristic of continuously smoothly working in response to the fish's pull, while also improving initial response, allowing for confident fighting even with light line. AIRDRIVE ROTOR! Using our unique theory, we've derived a new shape that appears as if it were carved directly from a sphere. By thoroughly trimming away unnecessary material, we've achieved significant weight reduction while maintaining rigidity. This dramatically improves the lightness of the reel, leading to improved operability and sensitivity. AIRDRIVE BAIL! AIRDRIVE BAIL! The Air Bail, which utilizes a hollow pipe structure for both rigidity and lightness, has been made even lighter while maintaining its necessary strength. The bail angle is tilted to an optimal angle for a smoother transition of the line from the bail to the line roller. This results in even lighter weight and trouble-free operation. AIRDRIVE SPOOL! A thin-walled design has been achieved by trimming away unnecessary material, resulting in the ultimate in lightweight design. The thin-walled design of the spool skirt, as well as the hollowed-out interior of the spool, have all been thoroughly reduced in weight. The lightweight spool improves operability, including the lightness of the reel and casting action. Furthermore, a drag sound mechanism with low operating resistance improves drag response. The ATD operates smoothly and continuously in response to the fish's pull. The ATD TYPE-L enhances initial response. Designed for smooth start-up and tracking, it allows you to concentrate on the fight without worrying about drag settings. LC-ABS (Long Cast ABS) maintains the ABS II's contact resistance reduction philosophy while moving the contact point forward for smoother line release. The forward-facing ring makes it harder for the line to get caught on the ring, resulting in a 5% increase in casting distance and improved trouble-free performance over the previous ABS II. This next-generation ABS spool achieves LC (LONG CAST). Product Details! ■Stopperless Body "Even Lighter and Trouble-Free" The body structure has been simplified by removing the stopper.
